Blog Reflection 

As I read more and more about an action reseach plan and by following all the giving criteria to understand and collect data to complete the plan, I have learned that even though I feel that I have completed my plan, there is still more that can be done.  Once I get my plan going, I know that my research will lead to different topics within my research.  By using the Dana textbook and Martin textbook to guide and instruct me, I hope to fulfill my research to a high expectation that will be willing to find other administration, teachers, and staff to continue the research for more years to come.  By finding improvements to the plan, I hope to help the administration and staff minimize referrals and improve student discipline/behavior within the classroom and school.

How might educational leaders use blogs?

      Educational leaders will be able to use blogs to have ourselves be more knowledgeable with certain or all issues that present in schools.  As one individual is concerned with a major issue within their school, another issue may occur and may not have an idea on how to approach it.  Their main access will either be to network other school within the district or outside districts about the issue and/or use the blog to search for results that pertain to the issue.  Any information that is handy and useful will help to get the issue dissolved. 

What have you learned about Action Research and how you might be able to use it?

Action Research Plan for me is to be a doer and not a follower or a sayer. If I would like to see a change or something different within my school, then just do it. As an administrator intern, there are lots of things out there that can be changed and I am now able to implement a plan that can successful. It all depends on how the plan is carefully developed, processed, implemented, and assessed. What I need to do and understand is that in order for me to make a difference within me and my school is to start from the bottom and work my way up to make a change. I need to follow all the steps within the action research plan so that my personal plan for my school can become successful at the end of my internship (master’s program) and for future use. I need to follow the four phases that were introduced to me carefully and to the best of my ability.  By following the four phases on conducting my plan, I am sure that I can develop a productive and successful plan.
